🤖 Digital Analog Flame Sensor with Case PH2.0 3Pin for Arduino, ESP32, Microbit, Raspberry Pi Fire Detection Module - Smart Home Kit
💥 Overview
The advancement of fire detection technology has a substantial impact on enhancing safety in public spaces like hotels, office buildings, and various commercial establishments. The Digital Analog Flame Sensor is a sophisticated device engineered to detect fires through the analysis of infrared radiation emitted by flames. This innovative sensor leverages the inherent sensitivity of infrared radiation to accurately identify the presence of fire, ensuring prompt alerts in critical situations.
🧩 The core functionality of the flame sensor is centered around an infrared receiving diode, a specialized semiconductor that captures infrared light signals and transforms them into electrical outputs. This process is fundamentally based on the photoelectric effect. At the heart of the infrared receiving diode lies a PN junction that, when reverse voltage is applied, remains primarily inactive, exhibiting minimal reverse leakage current—referred to as dark current—under normal conditions. However, when exposed to infrared light at a specific wavelength (typically around 940nm), the energy from the incoming photons energizes the semiconductor, resulting in the generation of electron-hole pairs. This reaction leads to the creation of a photocurrent, which directly correlates with the intensity of the received infrared light, thereby facilitating effective photoelectric conversion.
🔍 The flame sensor continuously converts the infrared brightness emitted by a flame into an analog voltage signal. It incorporates a voltage comparator on the board that monitors this signal; once the infrared intensity surpasses a predetermined threshold, the comparator activates, signaling an alert. An LED indicator on the board illuminates to visually confirm detection, providing an immediate and clear notification of potential fire hazards.
