- Begin by carefully selecting your seeds, discarding any inferior options.
- Rinse the seeds thoroughly, then soak them in water for several hours (typically 6-12 hours depending on the type of seed).
- After soaking, place the planting board onto the water-retaining base tray.
- Evenly spread the soaked seeds across the planting board, taking care to avoid overlapping. If the seeds are larger, consider placing a chemical-free germination paper towel underneath to prevent any seeds from falling through.
- Moisten the seeds with a spray can, lightly covering them with a piece of germination paper. Spray water again gently. Patience is key; the seeds will germinate within 2-5 days. During this time, mist the paper 1-2 times daily, keeping it out of direct sunlight.
- Once the sprouts reach a length of about 0.89-1.18 inches (2.0-3.0 cm), carefully remove the germination paper. When roots begin to penetrate the planting tray, introduce a small amount of water into the bottom tray—being cautious not to disturb the sprouts to prevent rot.
